Otter’s Crest Beach Lifestyle Session | Devil’s Punchbowl

OTTER’S CREST BEACH & DEVIL’S PUNCHBOWL

There are no shortages of gorgeous beaches in Oregon and Otter’s Crest Beach ranks up there. From Cannon Beach, to Sunset Bay, to Manzanita, throw a dart at a map of the coast and you’ll most likely hit a top notch area.

Devil’s Punchbowl is no exception. Visit at high tide and you’re treated to geysers of water exploding through the collapsed sea cave. Check it out at low tide and you can explore inside the cave via Otter Crest beach.

As someone who has just moved from the Adirondacks in upstate New York, I had zero experience with checking tidal charts. When you’re at the summit of a mountain, tidal charts are the last thing on your mind! Thankfully, I had a few locals who were willing to help me out…

Jess and Sylvan chose low tide at sunrise for their photos. We wanted to check out Otter Crest beach first before heading into the punch bowl.

Already married with two kids, these two wanted to celebrate their lives together in Oregon before moving cross country to western New York. And that’s what we did! 

Whether for engagement or lifestyle photos, elopements or weddings; Otter Crest beach and Devil’s Punchbowl provide a variety of incredible backdrops perfect for any session.
